| A dusty barren volcanic world home to deadly storms of choking ash borne by scorching desert winds, Plaistow is far from an inviting site for colonization. Prospecting teams from the Tortuga Republic recently discovered extremely rich mineral deposits, so rich in fact that immediate mining operations were begun. The most important industry on Plaistow to date is the harvesting of the unique ashen 'soil' which is being exported for use in the manufacturing of ferrocrete. The chemical properties of this soil result in ferrocrete of exceptional quality and durability. Plaistow is also seeing use as a penal colony for captured pirates and other outlaws. |
