PRELUDE TO THE REPUBLIC:

3067: Dec. Gen. Kurdt Vanderhoff killed when his DropShip is destroyed by Word of Blake forces while attempting to evacuate Tharkad.  Col. John Robertson Jr. assumes command of the Blackhawks Armored Cavalry.

3068-69: Draconis Combine forces seize David, headquarters of BlackMango industries as well as home to a large number of Blackhawks dependents.  Blackhawks turn over control of Kandersteg to ComStar's 208th Division and return to David to drive off Combine forces. 
    The scope and brutality of the expanding Blakist "Jihad" leads the Blackhawks High Command to the conclusion that the current situation of interstellar chaos has made their current position untenable.  Preparations are begun for a possible mass migration.  Black Omega units are dispatched to scout possible relocation sites.

3070: Black Omega unit locates WoB base near the Tortuga Dominons.  Selecting Tortuga as the site of relocation, planning proceeds for an offensive campaign to secure Dominion space.  Dismantling of BlackMango facilities on David and Leipsic begins.  Several WarShips being built for the now defunct SLDF are sold to ComStar and the Federated Suns to raise cash reserves for the coming campaign and migration.  The Blackhawks retain the use of four WarShips to serve as the fleet arm in the coming operation against the Word of Blake.

3070: The Blackhawks assemble a "coalition" force of mercenaries. disgruntled House troops along with additional WarShips and BattleMechs supplied by TerraFirm Industries into a "BattleTech Universe" Task Force.  Prominent Coalition members include the Redstar Renegades, the Irish Dragoons, Task Force Hammer, a newly organized "BTU" regiment and the Exodus Road Haulers

:3071: Feb- 89th and 38th Dragoon Regiments supported by Coalition WarShips assault WoB outpost (Grayhaven) near Tortugan space.  Blakist AeroSpace fighters launch a spread of nuclear armed torpedoes against Coalition WarShips. Anti-missile defenses successfully shoot down the incoming threat, while Blackhawk and WoB fighters engage in furious dogfights
    Coalition WarShips move to engage two WoB Essex destroyers guarding a Faslane mobile shipyard.  Blackhawk flagship Avenger supported by the cruisers Netanyahu and Vigilant take on the WoB destroyers while the cruisers Defiant and Thunderbolt move to capture the Faslane shipyard.
    Blackhawk Task Force moves against Grayhaven.  WoB units refuse order to surrender and launch additional nuclear weapons against them.  Coalition WarShips respond by commencing orbital bombardment of Blakist units and positions. Blackhawk ground forces along with the Redstar Renegades land to clear out remaining WoB units and take control of underground industrial complex.
